Hello World =)

Hope everyone’s week is going as well as mine is.

Yesterday’s workshop called “Planning for Success: First days. First weeks” was AWESOME! I got a whole bunch of icebreaker games – the games that by high school you despise LOL – and a ton of ideas of how to set up an effective classroom. We also looked at when and how to introduce the students to the rules of the classroom. Later on in the day we also looked at bridging the gap with teachers and parents and when/how should you handle a bunch of scenarios that they gave us. It was really good because it was run by four awesome ladies all with lots of teaching experience – one is even the head of the education dept here at QUT. All in all though, a very cool learning experience.

Besides the fact that it’s pouring down rain my day has been okayJ. I’m on campus now (obviously since it’s the only place I have internet…) waiting for the JP to come so he can sign the forms I need to send off to QCT. Then I have to hurry home because I’m meeting Sophia my landlord so she can sign the bond release forms. Then I’m probably going to start taking down my picture wall and all the other stuff around my room (minus the flag since that’s my make-shift curtain). Then Ill probably just veg out lol I’m super sleepy and all I want to do when its raining is get under the covers and watch a movie so I just might lol.

Sadly I’ve had to add to this list… BOOOO! …but I also got to cross some off so I guess that’s sort of good.

- Finish Marking the Poetry

- Finish marking their products

- Finish Prac

- Final Assignment

-Go to workshop on Tues

- Finish Scanning in resources

- Get Sophia to sign forms for bond

- Get bond $ back

- Laundry

-Find out if there’s a goodwill shop somewhere close

- PACK

- Close bank account

- Get stuff signed by the JP on wed

- Mail stuff to QCT

- Find out price of sending a package to Canada by boat

- Find out what's happening re: tickets home

- Find some time just to go read by the river
